Not the most extravagant purchase, but by my usual standards it certainly isn’t nothing. 2 months ago I would have never bought this. Now? “Hmm... I work hard and deserve nice things.” Spertkrass has tainted my entire frugal financial outlook...

I loved my first gen Moto X, too! I was disappointed when mine started to die on me and no one made a current-gen equivalent. Then the Pixel came out two months after I bought my 6P. -_-

Is the Pixel a satisfactory replacement for the original Moto X?

It’s the closest thing I could find. The pure Android is the main reason. I don’t think I could deal with Samsung’s skin.

That’s exactly why I went with the 6P over Samsung’s option at the time, despite the fact that the 6P is way bigger than I wanted. I’m hoping I can pick up a discounted Pixel once the Pixel 2 drops and maybe pawn my 6P off on someone who appreciates phablets.
